Civil Engineering – GIST

The profession of Civil Engineering is concerned with designing and building large constructions, projects including buildings, roads, railways, dams, ports and bridges. As we have moved into the twenty first century, civil Engineers are increasingly being required to address environmental issues such as pollution control, rising sea levels and energy crisis.

Degree Program

The degree programs at PGS Engineering college have been structured to provide a fundamental understanding of Civil Engineering principles and also enable the students to tackle current and future challenges in the discipline. PGS engineering college has a Civil Engineering department with qualified staff and all necessary facilities in the form of well equipped laboratories, computer labs and workshops etc. The department adopts teaching methods most appropriate for the courses being followed.

Key Facts

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Four years Degree program comprising eight semesters. The degree will be awarded by the U.E.T Peshawar.


F.Sc (Pre engineering) or equivalent with 60% marks with the combination Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics.

B.Tech pass with 60 % marks or D.A.E with 60% marks (in the relevant field)

Candidate must have appeared in the entry test by ETEA.

No domicile restriction. Students from other provinces are also eligible for admission subject to qualifying the required criteria for admission to first year Engineering of their own province in regards to the entry test.

As when U.E.T announces admission open to first year Engineering classes the candidate seeking admission can apply directly from all parts of the country. The number of seats is 50 and they all are on open merit.
